Discover the seaside
Above all, Sérignan ‘s location offers a wealth of seaside activities. Its 5 km of beaches are ideal for swimming and water sports! For an introduction to surfing or kitesurfing, head for the beaches of La Chapelle and La Grande Maïre, to the east of the town. On the Séoune beach, you’ll find a kayak and paddle rental service, so you can enjoy the Mediterranean while having fun. For a moment of idleness with the family, choose the large Orpellières beach, with its 2.5 km of sand bordered by dunes and lifeguard surveillance.
The Orpellières protected natural site and the Grande Maïre pond are two must-see areas on this seafront. They offer the perfect setting for oxygenating on foot or mountain bike, right in the heart of Sérignan’s natural heritage. Admire the wildflowers and birds, and don’t hesitate to join an equestrian center for a great horseback ride along the coast.
Activities for the whole family in Sérignan
Among the activities available in Sérignan with children, we recommend the treasure hunt organized by the Sérignan Tourist Office: Alice and the Mysterious Egg. Thanks to a €3 kit, children aged 5 and over can lead an amusing investigation through a series of games and riddles. A fun way to discover the flora and fauna of Sérignan-Plage and Les Orpellières.
At the Maison des Orpellières, paddle workshops and snacks are offered throughout the summer for 6-12 year-olds. Children enjoy an introduction to paddleboarding on the Orb, followed by a gourmet snack together. Another way to enjoy the great outdoors in Sérignan and make new friends! If you’re looking for an indoor activity to do with the family in Sérignan, head for the town’s Musée Régional d’Art Contemporain (MRAC ). Well-known for its collections, it’s also a playful introduction to art, with a free children’s guide that combines a visit with a game.
